Invitation FAQs

When do you recommend sending invitations?

The typical recommendations you’ll hear are to send invitations 6-8 weeks before your wedding date. To avoid slow shipping or mailing errors, I recommend my clients send their invitations 2-3 months before their wedding date.

When should I get in contact with you regarding invitation suite design?

At least 5 months before your wedding date!

Tip: Always think backwards when considering dates! For a May wedding, you’ll want to send out your wedding invitations in February. The process of assembling your invitations can take 1-2 weeks, shipping 1-2 weeks, design 4 weeks, and inquiry/consultation is a minimum of 1 week. That would put you at December at the latest for getting in contact with me, if you had a May wedding.

When should I have my RSVPs due?

I typically recommend having your RSVPs due around 6 weeks before your wedding. You should assume some guests will forget to RSVP on time, so you should plan on needing a few days to track down those people who don’t reply. You should check with your caterer and any other vendors that will need a final head count to see when they need the final number of guests by!

Day of Stationery

One of my favorite parts of being a designer, and something I specialize in, is tying in your invitation suite, with your day-of stationery, as well as your signage! I love being able to create a cohesive look. Don’t overlook these details - they make a big statement to your guests and are the perfect finishing touch to all of your hard work and planning!
